NLP RESEARCH ENGINEERPOSITION SUMMARY DigitalOwl is seeking a talented and experienced NLP Research Engineer to join our growing Data Science team, focusing on generative AI. Our company provides a cutting-edge solution for analyzing and summarizing medical records for insurance underwriters and claim adjusters, reducing time, money, and risk of human error to a minimum. The NLP Research Engineer will play a vital role in managing large, unique, and not publicly available medical data, and developing AI-based solutions for various generative tasks in healthcare. You will be responsible for designing and building advanced generative NLP models for variety of tasks. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Design and develop advanced generative NLP models for various healthcare applications. Build infrastructure to support generative NLP modeling, experimentation, and deployment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify new opportunities for generative NLP in healthcare. Stay up-to-date with the latest generative NLP techniques and models and apply them to solve real-world healthcare problems. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES) Relevant academic degree (Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field). Background in NLP, deep learning. 2+ years of experience in designing and building NLP models. Strong programming skills in Python and experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow. Experience with generative NLP (such as GPT or T5) - a big advantage!
